Über

We're seeking a Proposal and Marketing Manager who leads the preparation of proposals and supports key marketing initiatives for an Inc 5000 construction company. This role works closely with teams across development, construction, estimating, and executive leadership to support the company's pursuit of new projects and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, design-aware, and an exceptional writer and editor, with proven experience managing complex RFP responses, particularly in general contracting and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Review public and private RFPs and RFQs, evaluate the requirements and scoring criteria, and present the final decisions to leadership.
  • Lead development of proposal responses, including strategy, content coordination, writing, editing, and final formatting.
  • Maintain and manage proposal content libraries, including resumes, project profiles, and standard compliance materials, in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, write, and finalize proposal content, including schedules, logistics, pricing support materials, past performance, and required financial documentation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and professional presentation.

Marketing and Brand Management

  • Create and manage branded materials, including company brochures, capability statements, project profiles, newsletters, flyers, signage, and presentations.
  • Ensure consistent and effective use of the company's visual brand across digital platforms, printed materials, and physical settings such as jobsites and events.
  • Produce branded content to support email communications, announcements, and community outreach efforts.
  • Assist with updates to website content, press materials, and social media visuals.
  • Coordinate photography, videography, and visual records of key project milestones, including groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and project completions.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 6–8 years of experience in marketing, communications, or proposal management.
  • Proven success writing and managing proposals.
  • Construction industry experience is preferred (not mandatory)
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, marketing software, and social media management tools.
  • Experience with CRM, analytics, and employee engagement tools (e.g., Constant Contact, SurveyMonkey).
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines (this is essential).
