Join our Charlotte, North Carolina team as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for a certified and experienced individual to handle the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment within our busy logistics facility. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from storage, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center. We prioritize a safe workplace and expect all team members to follow strict safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks, trailers, and shipping docks.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification as needed.
- Follow all instructions and procedures related to warehouse logistics.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 35 lbs may be required for associated tasks.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be able to perform occasional lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
