We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator in Omaha, Nebraska, to join our fast-paced logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a critical role in managing inventory, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring the timely movement of goods within the warehouse. A strong emphasis on safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment are essential. This position requires attention to detail, excellent maneuvering skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure workplace. Your role is crucial to the overall efficiency of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and stage products for shipping or receiving.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and location verification.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 30 lbs for associated tasks.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification/license.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks that involve occasional lifting.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
