Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, managing inventory, and coordinating the efforts of warehouse staff. Your responsibilities will include supervising receiving and shipping activities, optimizing warehouse layout and storage, conducting inventory audits, and implementing process improvements. You will also be responsible for training new employees, enforcing safety regulations, and ensuring all logistics run smoothly. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles is essential. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. You must be committed to maintaining a safe working environment, including ensuring the correct use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols. The ability to handle demanding tasks, including moderate lifting, is expected. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage for efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with transportation and other departments to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operations.
