Your responsibilities will include unloading incoming trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our warehouse management system. This position is vital for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We prioritize safety and compliance, so a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential. You will be expected to perform tasks that may involve moderate lifting, so physical stamina is important. Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from delivery trucks.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect all incoming items for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
