We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse facility. Your primary focus will be on safe operation, inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining a secure working environment. Responsibilities include: Performing daily equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness. Loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of all materials. Transporting materials to and from designated areas within the facility. Accurately recording inventory movements and updates in the warehouse management system (WMS). Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Collaborating with team members to achieve daily productivity goals. Identifying and reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately. Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the work area. This is a demanding role that requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail. Experience with various types of forklifts and proficiency in safe lifting techniques are essential.
