We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and dispatching outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently. This position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that products leave our facility in excellent condition and on schedule. Your primary duties will include picking orders, verifying contents, packing items securely, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You must have a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency. We provide comprehensive training, including on proper packing techniques and the mandatory use of PPE . This role requires physical stamina, including standing for extended periods and performing tasks that may involve lifting up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Pick items from inventory according to shipping orders.
- Verify accuracy of items and quantities before packing.
- Pack orders securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
- Generate and affix shipping labels accurately.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Operate shipping equipment as needed.
- Wear all required PPE diligently.
- Perform tasks involving regular lifting and moving of packages.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of logistics and shipping processes.
- Commitment to following all safety rules and wearing required PPE .
