Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy.
- Transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Use scanning devices to track inventory movements and ensure accuracy in the WMS.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Wear and properly utilize all required PPE .
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including lifting items up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics operations.
- Ensure all movements are recorded accurately for inventory control.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential safety hazards.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid forklift operator certification. Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and logistics . Knowledge of forklift maintenance and safety best practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team. Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. Willingness to wear all required PPE and adhere to strict safety standards. Background check and drug screening may be required.
