We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods within our warehouse facility. This position requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, staging products for shipment, and maintaining an organized warehouse. Strong communication skills are essential as you will coordinate with warehouse supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials and products.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stage goods for shipping and receiving.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding daily tasks and potential issues.
- Follow all guidelines for proper Lifting of heavy items.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy Lifting.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the use of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
