Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our facility, ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
  • Pick and stage materials for production or shipment according to schedules.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Regular engagement in lifting and moving materials, with some items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
  • Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely.
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles and warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
