We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our **Logistics** team in Boston, Massachusetts. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through systematic monitoring, auditing, and record-keeping. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of **Logistics** principles, and a steadfast commitment to **Safety** and operational efficiency. You will be instrumental in maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting warehouse operations through precise inventory management, ensuring all relevant **PPE** is used.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and reduce losses.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status, including potential shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, handling, and **Lifting** of inventory.
- Identify and implement **Safety** improvements within inventory management processes.
- Ensure all inventory management activities comply with **Logistics** best practices and **Safety** regulations.
- Properly use all required **PPE** while performing duties.
- Assist with receiving and shipping documentation as it relates to inventory.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a related inventory management role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of **Logistics** operations and inventory control techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** and moving inventory as needed.
- Understanding of **Safety** protocols in a warehouse environment.
- Commitment to adhering to **PPE** guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in **Logistics** or a related field is a plus.
