Join our dynamic e-commerce fulfillment center in New York City, New York, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for energetic and detail-oriented individuals to play a key role in our logistics operations. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory to fulfill customer orders and carefully packaging them for shipment. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing RF scanners or pick lists to locate products, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked. Once picked, you will package items securely and efficiently, preparing them for dispatch. Safety is our utmost priority; all employees must strictly follow warehouse safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 30 lbs, standing, walking, and bending throughout your shift. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Use RF scanners or pick lists to ensure correct product and quantity selection.
- Inspect picked items for any damage before packaging.
- Package orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Place packaged orders in the designated area for shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate footwear.
- Meet daily picking and packing productivity goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support logistics flow.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics role is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 30 lbs repeatedly.
- Proficiency with RF scanners is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
