Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies upon arrival.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Tag and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding incoming goods.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Understanding of proper lifting techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and using PPE.
