We are hiring a Material Handler for our dynamic logistics hub in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be essential to the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the movement of goods, from receiving to staging for shipment. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and preparing materials for distribution. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are paramount. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on efficiency and accuracy in our logistics processes. This position offers hands-on experience in a vital sector of the supply chain. We provide necessary training and emphasize the importance of proper PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Sort and store materials in designated warehouse locations, maintaining organization.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to instructions.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all established protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and any issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a focus on Safety and the use of PPE.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed to ensure efficient logistics flow.
- Manage Lifting requirements safely, utilizing proper body mechanics and seeking assistance when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items regularly.
- Capacity for Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic material handling equipment and warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
