Our growing logistics facility in Baltimore, Maryland, is looking for enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our team. As a Picker/Packer, your primary responsibility will be to accurately select items for customer orders and prepare them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that our products reach customers efficiently and in perfect condition. You'll work within a dynamic warehouse environment, utilizing modern technology to track inventory and fulfill orders. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities against order documentation.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for outbound shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items in and out of stock.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily operational targets.
- Safely manage Lifting of items, utilizing proper techniques and team support when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and item labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and scanning technology is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Capacity for Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to PPE policies.
