We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate for our busy facility in Washington, D.C. As a DC Associate, you will play a vital role in the entire lifecycle of goods within our distribution network. This includes receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping a wide range of products. You will be expected to maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy while adhering strictly to all safety protocols and company standards. This position offers a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and logistics management. We are looking for motivated individuals who are reliable, proactive, and committed to excellence. Your dedication to a safe and efficient operation is paramount. This is an excellent entry point into the logistics field.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all functions related to receiving, inspecting, and stocking merchandise.
- Accurately pick orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Pack orders to ensure product protection during transit.
- Process shipments for outbound delivery, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all established Safety procedures.
- Comply with all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Manage the physical demands of Lifting and moving goods responsibly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior warehouse or distribution center experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and Lifting.
- Capable of Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
