We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Raleigh, North Carolina distribution center. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory placement. A commitment to Safety is non-negotiable, and you will be expected to follow all established protocols and wear appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and other vehicles.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and regulations, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques when handling goods manually.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and efficient logistics.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
- Previous experience as a certified Forklift Operator is required.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual Lifting of products.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to wearing all designated PPE at all times.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control systems is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
