We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking and packing customer orders. Your primary duties will include reading pick lists, locating items within the warehouse, using scanning equipment, and preparing orders for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and pick lists.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and confirm picked items.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Stage picked orders for quality control and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE.
