We are looking for energetic and reliable Distribution Center Associates to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is multifaceted, supporting various operations within our logistics facility. You will be involved in tasks such as order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse support. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Receive and unload incoming inventory, verifying quantities and checking for damages.
- Assist with stocking and organizing inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor, workstations, and common areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
- Use appropriate PPE as required by the task and company policy.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting colleagues and supporting operational flow.
- Follow all logistics procedures to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus, but not required; we provide comprehensive training.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and inventory integrity.
- Willingness to learn and perform various warehouse tasks.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
