Our Tampa, Florida facility is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory data is precise. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in a warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement in logistics.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse, from receiving to shipping.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper handling and storage procedures, and the use of PPE.
- Assist in training warehouse staff on inventory procedures.
- Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to optimize inventory flow.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify potential issues with materials requiring Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
