Join our growing logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Forklift Operator. This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent forklift operation skills. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and securely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Stack and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and performing cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance logistics efficiency and safety.
- Support the shipping and receiving departments as needed.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental goals.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a forklift is required.
- Certification as a forklift operator is a plus.
- Ability to handle frequent Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
