We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, you will be essential to our Logistics operations, responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials within the facility. You will operate various types of equipment, ensuring that inventory is properly handled, stored, and ready for distribution. A strong focus on Safety, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively are key to success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, sort, and stage materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers, ensuring secure transport.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse areas, verifying stock levels and locations.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory assessments to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment before use and report any defects promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Strictly follow all company Safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support the receiving and shipping departments to maintain seamless Logistics operations.
- Perform tasks that require significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of materials.
- Follow all internal traffic rules and protocols to ensure warehouse Safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse environment is necessary.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification is a strong asset.
- Physical capability to perform frequent Lifting, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-volume Logistics setting.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and tasks within the warehouse.
