Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that all stock levels are precisely managed, and that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your primary focus will be on preventing discrepancies, identifying root causes of inventory issues, and implementing corrective actions. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS).
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying and addressing potential causes such as receiving errors, shipping errors, or internal damage.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points, ensuring timely replenishment to meet demand and avoid stockouts.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices to optimize efficiency and minimize losses.
  • Work closely with the receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions within the WMS.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements to inventory management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to inventory handling and storage.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Proficient use of scanners and other inventory tracking technology.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and WMS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform accurate counts and maintain detailed records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain and Logistics operations is a plus.
