Pueblo Radiology Medical Group Inc is an outpatient diagnostic imaging center that for over fifty years, has been dedicated to providing top-quality medical imaging services in a professional, compassionate, and timely manner for patients, referring physicians, and hospital affiliates.
We are currently looking for a Per Diem radiologic technologist (“radiographer”). Starting salary is $33-$34 per hour. New graduates will be considered. Applicants must be able to perform all radiographic imaging exams, operate a c-arm, and assist in minor interventional procedures with a radiologist; DEXA experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train if needed.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate x-ray equipment in a safe and effective manner when imaging patients.
* Provide radiation protection for patients, staff, and visitors following the ALARA guideline.
* Conduct imaging examinations in a safe and professional manner.
* Exhibit excellent customer service skills when conducting exams and interacting with patients, visitors, and referring caregivers.
* Multitask to provide assistance to co-workers to ensure the department runs in a smooth and timely manner.
* Exhibit proficiency in conducting exams related to radiography, DXA, and fluoroscopy; this includes proficiency in operating the mobile fluoroscopic unit – “C-arm”.
* Inventory supplies and stock rooms as required to ensure adequate supplies are on-hand for daily operations.
* Always wear your radiation monitoring device when working in the department, including the timely submittal of your badge at the end of a given monitoring period.
* Provide supervision and guidance for the radiography students in a professional and willing manner.
* Follow policies and procedures of infection control related to equipment and procedures; ensure safe work practices and procedures.
*Qualifications*
* Responsible accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. At a minimum must have graduated from high school and satisfactorily completed an accredited radiologic technology school.
* Must have State and ARRT certification in x-ray. A fluoroscopy permit is preferred and will be required within 12 months of hire.
* Must possess the ability to safely and efficiently operate the following pieces of equipment: Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, special procedures equipment, patient transfer devices, and PACS / RIS.

* Occasional and/or negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

* Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
* Close visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.

Pay: $33.00 - $34.00 per hour
