JOB SUMMARY
The Executive General Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's overall operations, strategic direction, and performance. They report directly to the CEO/COO or another top-level executive and play a crucial role in shaping the company's success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for effective day-to-day operations of production facility (cracking, sorting, packing, shipping and maintenance). Achieve performance KPIs.
- Oversee production scheduling to efficiently meet sales/shipping demand.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of managers and department heads, including recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent within the organization.
- Using analytics, focus on continuous improvement/efficiency throughout the facility – encourage and drive innovation within the organization while overseeing change initiatives to adapt to market dynamics and emerging technology.
- Implement the organization's long-term strategic, operational and financial plans (budgets); Develop and manage budgets to support the organization's financial health and growth.
- Establish and communicate clear goals and objectives for various departments explaining new directives, policies, or procedures to managers - for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer
questions, and maintain morale
- Provide the analysis, recommendations, and implementation of Capital Projects
ensuring ROI objectives and long-term cost savings are realized.
- Identify and assess potential risks to the organization and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Ensure that the organization operates in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Uphold ethical standards, corporate governance practices, and assure compliance with Food Safety Standards and regulations.
- Foster clear and open communication within the organization while effectively managing crises or unexpected challenges that may arise, making quick and informed decisions.
Requirements:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to traverse the operations facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Note: This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple aspects of plant operations efficiently while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- May work near moving mechanical parts.
- May work around wet or humid conditions, in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and/or risk of vibration.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree or MBA may be preferred.
- Extensive experience in a senior executive role or similar leadership positions.
- Proven track record of strategic planning, financial management, and operational leadership.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of the industry, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ethical and responsible business conduct.
