POSITION SUMMARY

As a CADD Technician II, you will be responsible for the production of CAD drawings from sketches, hardline drawings, other electronic formats, and "red line drawings."

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Daily processing of survey data, including checking for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform deed research and deed plotting.
  • Prepare legal descriptions, survey drawings, and plats.
  • Review construction plans and prepare files to aid the field crew with layout.
  • Organize and manage multiple project assignments.
  • Provide technical office support.
  • Ensure the accuracy of reports by data review and resolving discrepancies internally for assigned projects.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize effectively; and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff and clients.
  • Organize, multi-task, prioritize and re-prioritize daily workload and work with minimum supervision and the ability to meet deadlines, establish deadlines, and prioritize deadlines.
  • Collect, organizes, disseminate, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Finalize CAD files and project folders for archiving.
  • Prepares computer-generated survey drawings, according to company standards and procedures, from field-collected data using CAD software.
  • Process field data and integrate it into CAD files.
  • Plots drawings to the appropriate scale.
  • Basic calculations for field drawings.
  • Review and compare field notes to final maps.
  • Make corrections after quality control checks.
  • Revise or change survey drawings, traces, and/or copy existing drawings, and complete simple calculations with specific instructions.
  • May perform light office duties including but not limited to filing, making copies, and scanning.
  • May carry out other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • An associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Design or equivalent is a plus.
  • Two years drafting land surveys with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proficiency with Microstation, Industry codes, CAD standards, and conventions is a plus.
  • Certified Survey Technician Level 1+ is preferred.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
  • Must be computer savvy using applications Microsoft Office, Windows PC, and Internet software.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Writes clearly and informatively.
  • Basic mathematics, including algebra and geometry.
  • Able to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in varied situations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements,  machine manuals of operation, and process procedures.
  • Works with the team; contributes to a positive team environment; welcomes feedback.
  • Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Accepts and adapts to frequent change.
  • Works with integrity and acts ethically; supports the organization's culture, goals, and values.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Regularly requires to sit or stand for extended periods at a computer workstation.
  • Must occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, or listen.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This will be a high-volume, fast-paced work environment managing documents. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Anticipated pay range for this position in Colorado is $19.80–$34.30 per hour, and includes company-sponsored medical and dental insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, paid time off (PTO), and participation in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
