Job Summary:
The Anheuser-Busch School of Business at Harris-Stowe State University seeks a detail-oriented and student-centered MBA Coordinator to support the successful launch and ongoing operations of the Master of Business Administration program. This role ensures that MBA scholars receive comprehensive support from admission to graduation and that program operations run smoothly across 8-week terms in the hybrid learning format. The MBA Coordinator will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners to uphold program quality and enhance the scholar experience.
Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all MBA scholars
- Coordinating admissions onboarding, orientation, registration, and degree planning
- Tracking prerequisite completion and maintaining accurate student documentation
- Supporting adjunct faculty with course shells, rosters, communications, and materials
- Managing the hybrid schedule, monthly synchronous sessions, classroom logistics, and online components
- Monitoring scholar progress throughout each 8-week term
- Coordinating capstone project placements with employers and community partners
- Responding to scholar inquiries and concerns
- Maintaining program calendars, workflows, and communication plans
- Preparing reports, presentations, dashboards, and documentation for the Dean
- Coordinating events, workshops, networking sessions, and employer engagement activities
- Supporting assessment, accreditation readiness, and data collection for the MBA program
- Collaborating with university units including the Registrar, Financial Aid, CTL, Enrollment, and Student Success
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Three years of experience in higher education, advising, program coordination, or student services
- Experience working with adult learners or graduate students preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse faculty, staff, and scholars
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced program environment
- Professional communication skills for representing the School of Business
- Ability to manage multiple timelines, calendars, and concurrent projects
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with online learning platforms, CRM systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lead and accept performance feedback
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Create and maintain a service-oriented experience for MBA scholars across in-person, electronic, and phone interactions
- Support the development and execution of an annual action plan for managing program operations
- Implement calendar-based communication plans to support scholar engagement
- Proactively identify issues impacting scholar progress and recommend solutions
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for lengthy periods. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Within an office setting.
