Job Summary

A Machine maintenance job involves installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment through routing inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting, using hand/power tools to fix issues, replace parts, lubricate, and ensure safety compliance, all while keeping detailed records and minimizing downtime for optimal production.

Duties .

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical issues, repair or replace defective parts (like pumps, bearings, cylinders), and adjust settings.
• Installation & Assembly: Install, assemble, and test new machinery or equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and costs.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Inventory & Ordering: Manage spare parts inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Collaboration: Work with production staff and engineers to ensure operational continuity.

Skills

• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and how they work.
• Tool Proficiency: Skill in using hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (saws, drills).
