In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across outpatient settings, assisting physicians and healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks and work as a scribe for our user friendly EHR. Duties

  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately.
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support clinical assessments.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout visits.
  • Support physicians during procedures by handing instruments, managing supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment as you grow skills in the practice.
  • Administer injections following established protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Order basic diagnostics as prescribed by NP's and Physician
  • Manage medical documentation including ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), medication administration records, and procedure notes to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control protocols.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge general medicines
  • Experience and familiarity in outpatient care settings.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems for accurate documentation and efficient workflow management.
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients.
  • Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to assist effectively during examinations and procedures.
  • Ability to perform intake assessments. The specialty intake for ENT will be trained.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding for diagnosis documentation.
  • Competence in basic life support (BLS)
