Primary Responsibilities Of The Assistant Controller

• Oversee the month-end and quarter-end close processes for timely and accurate reporting
• Review and approve complex reconciliations, journal entries, and schedules
• Maintain general ledger integrity across several entities and business units
• Lead preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting packages
• Work with leadership on acquisition-related integration and accounting alignment
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures
• Support forecasting and budgeting by providing variance insights and accounting analysis
• Manage audit deliverables and communication with external auditors
• Train and mentor accounting staff, providing leadership and oversight
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve systems, and enhance financial accuracy

What The Company Is Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience (Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, etc.)
• Strong technical accounting ability, including GAAP, consolidations, and multi-entity reporting
• Experience within a PE-backed, high-growth, or acquisitive organization preferred
• Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort working with large data sets
• Proven leadership ability with staff supervision experience
• Effective communicator capable of working cross-functionally and presenting to leadership
• Hands-on, process-oriented mindset with focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
