Your Opportunity

Stantec's New York City office is seeking a Bridge Engineer to support engineering teams on large infrastructure design projects and pursuits. The Bridge Engineer will work under direct supervision of a Bridge Design Manager or Senior Structural Engineer to assist on design of projects such as bridges, highway interchanges, roadway reconstruction, railroad bridge infrastructure and public spaces. Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop project design deliverables including design criteria, contract design documents, design specifications, quantities and related calculations for various design projects under Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build environments.
• Perform calculations independently using relevant bridge analysis and design software.
• Assist in resolving complex technical problems and exercise independent decision making.
• Perform construction phase services on behalf of the Designer of Record.
• Mentor and monitor work by Structural Designers.
• Assist with client coordination including coordinating deliveries, submittals, meetings, review comments etc.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations on various pursuits, including large Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build pursuits within the New York City Metropolitan area.
