Montech Inc. seeking a dedicated Federal Pell Grant Processing Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient processing of Title IV federal student financial assistance, specifically the Federal Pell Grant, using the Haskell CAMS Financial Aid Module and Tools
Responsibilities
The Processing Specialist shall provide support for operational areas that include, but are not limited to:
- Set up and modify the Haskell CAMS Prioritized Packaging function to expedite Federal Pell Grant processing.
- Implement and manage the governmental satisfactory academic progress function to support student needs.
- Import Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) data daily from the EdConnect system into the Haskell CAMS system via a secure VPN connection.
- Identify and manage missing documents required for FAFSA processing and communicate with students as necessary.
- Oversee the verification process for Title IV Federal student aid applications, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Qualifications
The Processing Specialist shall meet the following job requirements:
- Experience with financial aid processes and systems, particularly in a higher education setting.
- Familiarity with the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System and EDConnect.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage the budgeting and packaging of student financial assistance.
Place of Performance
The primary place of performance for this task order is remote (i.e., a professional home environment). In-person attendance at technical meetings may be required. Additional travel for site visits will be required.
Security
Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass the pre-employment drug test and a federal security investigation (background check) in order to obtain a Department of the Interior Public Trust security clearance prior to start. The background investigation reviews employment, criminal, financial, and personal history to ensure there are no outstanding violations. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen to work in support of a federal agency.
Any notification from Government to Montech Inc. that the employee has compromised the security requirements will warrant immediate termination from employment on the contract.
