About This Role
This is an
entry-level Sales Development Apprentice
role focused on
appointment setting
, not closing deals.
Your job is to make outbound calls, start business conversations, and book appointments for senior sales staff. You will not be expected to sell products, quote pricing, or close deals.
From day one, you'll also sit in on real sales calls, demos, and weekly pipeline meetings so you can see how professional sales actually works from first contact through close.
This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who want to build real sales skills in a structured, supportive environment.
Sales isn't for everyone—and that's okay. This role is designed to help you learn quickly, build confidence, and determine whether sales is the right long-term path.
What You'll Be Doing
Your primary responsibility is
appointment setting through outbound calling
.
You will:
- Make outbound calls to service-based businesses (auto repair, home services, medical, etc.)
- Use approved call frameworks to start conversations
- Identify curiosity and basic fit (no selling)
- Book appointments for senior sales staff
- Log all calls, notes, and outcomes in our CRM
- Follow a simple daily call plan and reporting process
You will
not
be responsible for pitching products, handling pricing, or closing deals.
Training & Growth
This role is a
sales apprenticeship
, not a dead-end job.
You will:
- Receive structured onboarding and coaching
- Sit in on live sales calls and demos from the start
- Attend a weekly Monday morning pipeline review
- Learn how real sales conversations work
High performers may grow into expanded sales responsibilities over time. Others leave with strong, transferable communication and business skills.
Both outcomes are successful.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Mostly remote, work-from-home
- Daily communication via Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Regular check-ins and coaching
- 1–2 in-person meetings per week (local candidates preferred)
This role requires reliability, consistency, and comfort working independently.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
required - College coursework or degree

Compensation
- $18/hour base pay
- Commission for closed deals you help generate
- Bonuses for exceeding weekly appointment goals as responsibilities grow
