Maintenance Worker

Busy apartment complex in north San Diego County, looking for an experienced maintenance worker. This will be a full-time position working, with weekends included. We are looking for someone who is well-organized and apt in problem-solving, with attention to detail. Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Must have your own tools. Good communication ability: English required, Spanish a plus.

Please be comfortable wearing a face mask/glove to appointments if requested by tenants. A background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repairs in both multi-family and single-family homes, to include Keep the grounds free of debris and trash, provide excellent customer service to residents.

Resolve electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, installations, service, and replacements in a responsible and professional manner as needed. This includes servicing: Electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches, and fuses, light fixtures.

Installation and minor repairs of appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers, toilets, sinks, vanities, and garbage disposals.

Caulking

Minor carpentry repairs

Window screens and blinds, repair/replacement

Interior and exterior door repair/replacement

Painting and drywall repairs

Pool and jacuzzi maintenance

Clearing drains and sewer lines up to 5'

Identify and report the need for major repairs to in-house staff, as well as property managers.

General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service

Apartment maintenance experience is a plus

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders

Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
