Job Overview General Manager & Sales Director (High Growth / $250k+ Potential)

Company: Rhino Shield of Chicagoland

Location: Elmhurst, IL (and surrounding suburbs)

Compensation: $75,000 Base Salary + Aggressive Commission & Overrides (OTE $200,000 - $250,000+)

We are not looking for a manager to maintain the status quo. We are looking for a leader to build an empire

Rhino Shield of Chicagoland is the exclusive dealer of the nation's premier permanent exterior coating. We are currently scaling rapidly—aiming to grow from $2.5M to $15M in annual revenue over the next 5 years.

We believe the buyer has changed. They want transparency, they want to be educated, and they want to trust who they buy from. We need a General Manager / Sales Manager who acts as the "Engine of Growth" by operationalizing trust and transparency across our entire sales force. ( Closer with teachers mentality). You will hold the dual responsibility of running P&L and Leading the Sales Team.

THE PAY

  • Base Salary: $75,000 / year
  • Performance Commission: Progressive tiered overrides on total company revenue .
  • Target Earnings (OTE):
  • At $3M Revenue: ~\ $165,000 Total Comp
  • At $5M Revenue: ~\ $200,000 - $250,000 Total Comp

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Lead the Sales Team (60% of focus)

  • Recruit & Train: Build a killer sales team. continuously recruiting, hiring, and training "A-player" sales consultants.
  • Ride-Alongs: You are a "Player-Coach." You will be in the field weekly, coaching reps on running the Rhino Shield sales process and closing deals.
  • Metric Management: Own the Close Rate, Average Ticket, and Lead Cost (CAC). You are responsible for ensuring every lead is maximized.
  • Master "Assignment Selling": You will ensure every sales rep is using our educational content (videos/guides) before the appointment. You understand that an educated prospect closes faster and at a higher ticket.
  • Coach the "Big 5": You will train reps to be radically transparent about the things others hide: Cost, Problems, Comparisons, Reviews, and "Best-Of" lists. You will teach them to address the elephant in the room first .
  • Ride-Alongs & Video Coaching: You are a "Player-Coach." You will be in the field weekly and reviewing sales calls to ensure reps are acting as trusted advisors, not just pitchmen.
  • Video Culture: You will drive the adoption of 1-to-1 video messaging (e.g., Loom, Vidyard, BombBomb) for follow-ups and proposal walkthroughs.
  • Utilize CRM tools such as Builder Prime to track sales activities, analyze data trends, and optimize sales pipelines for maximum efficiency.

2. General Management & Strategy (40% of focus)

  • Marketing Strategy: Work with our marketing vendors to ensure lead flow matches sales capacity.
  • Reporting: Report weekly KPIs to Ownership (Sales vs. Target, Forecasting, Profitability).
  • Scale the Culture: Foster a high-performance culture that balances aggressive growth with the integrity of the Rhino Shield brand.
  • Bridge the Gap: You will align Sales and Marketing. You will tell Marketing exactly what questions prospects are asking so we can create content that answers them.
  • P&L Ownership: Manage the branch budget and ensure gross margins stay healthy (50%+).
  • Recruit "The New Salesperson": Stop hiring "boiler room" closers. Hire communicators, listeners, and educators who can execute our consultative process.

WHO YOU ARE

  • The Builder: You have taken a sales team from $2M to $5M+ before. You know the growing pains and how to navigate them.
  • The Closer: You have a background in In-Home Sales (Windows, Siding, Roofing, or Bath Remodeling). You can still close a deal if you have to but have evolved beyond "pressure tactics." You close by removing fear and building certainty.
  • The Analyst: You understand the difference between Markup and Margin . You can look at a P&L and instantly see where we are bleeding money.
  • Experience: 5+ years in Home Improvement Management or High-Ticket Sales Management.
  • The Teacher: You believe that "Teaching is the new Selling." You have read They Ask, You Answer (or are willing to devour it on Day 1) and believe that an educated customer is your best customer.
  • The Strategist: You understand that trust is the currency of the future. You are willing to tell a customer "No" if Rhino Shield isn't the right fit for them, because you know honesty builds long-term reputation.
