Position 1: Senior z/OS Database System Engineer (DB2, IMS/DB)

Position 2: Senior z/OS Operating System Engineer (z/OS, RACF)

Position 3: Senior z/OS Performance & Capacity Management Engineer

Position 4: Senior z/OS Transaction & Network System Engineer

Remote – USA

Contract: 6+ Months & Extendable

Pay rate range - $50/hr - $55/hr on W2.Candidate will be working under Danta Technologies Payroll once upon position selection (OR) $60/hr - $65/hr on C2C-Corporation-To-Corporation

Senior z/OS Systems Engineer | DB2 & IMS | OS | Performance & Capacity | Transaction & Network

Position 1: Senior z/OS Database System Engineer (DB2, IMS/DB)

Overview:

Responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing z/OS database environments including DB2, IMS/DB, and data sharing within Parallel Sysplex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and support DB2, IMS/DB, and data sharing environments
• Lead database upgrades, maintenance, and enhancements
• Optimize performance, capacity, and resource utilization
• Implement database security and compliance controls
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and lead root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, and managed services teams
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain system documentation

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of z/OS DB2 and IMS/DB experience
• Strong Parallel Sysplex and data sharing expertise
• Experience with BMC AMI Ops, BMC Apptune, IBM IntelliMagic Vision
• Proven leadership and communication skills

Position 2: Senior z/OS Operating System Engineer (z/OS, RACF)

Overview:

Designs and supports z/OS operating environments, security, and infrastructure software in large-scale mainframe systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage z/OS, JES2, z/VM, and system infrastructure
• Implement RACF security, access controls, and compliance
• Lead OS upgrades, maintenance, and system enhancements
• Monitor and tune system performance and capacity
• Troubleshoot complex OS issues and coordinate vendor support
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain documentation

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of z/OS systems programming experience
• Strong RACF and security administration skills
• Parallel Sysplex expertise
• Experience with SMF, RMF, BMC AMI Ops, IntelliMagic Vision

Position 3: Senior z/OS Performance & Capacity Management Engineer

Overview:

Leads performance monitoring, analysis, and capacity planning for complex z/OS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise-wide performance and capacity initiatives
• Configure and optimize BMC AMI Ops and IntelliMagic Vision
• Perform workload analysis, tuning, and forecasting
• Develop dashboards, reports, and automated alerts
• Conduct root cause analysis for performance incidents
• Present findings to senior leadership

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of z/OS performance and capacity experience
• Strong SMF, RMF, WLM, IntelliMagic Vision expertise
• Experience supporting DB2, CICS, IMS, MQ, storage, and Sysplex
• Proven analytical and leadership skills

Position 4: Senior z/OS Transaction & Network System Engineer

Overview:

Designs and supports transaction processing and network systems within z/OS Parallel Sysplex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support CICS, CICSPlex, IMS/TM, MQ, TCP/IP, and network systems
• Lead transaction and network system upgrades and enhancements
• Optimize performance, capacity, and availability
• Implement transaction and network security controls
• Troubleshoot complex production issues
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain documentation

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of z/OS transaction and network systems experience
• Expertise in CICS, IMS/TM, MQ, TCP/IP, and Sysplex
• Experience with BMC AMI Ops and IntelliMagic
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
