Responsibilities Part-Time Baseball Coach – San Diego Crush Baseball Academy (Poway, CA)
The Crush Baseball Academy is seeking a part-time coach to assist at practices and games.
About Us:
Located in Poway, California, Crush Baseball Academy fields teams for players ages 7 through 9th grade. We pride ourselves on developing players' skills in a competitive but supportive environment.

Position Highlights:
- Ideal for someone looking for a fun, rewarding side gig.
- Opportunity to develop and mentor players while competing in games and tournaments.
- Afternoon/evening practices (after school) between 4:00–9:00 PM and weekends.
- Coaches typically run 1–3 practices per week and coach games on weekends (usually Sundays).
- Weekday practices: 21.25–4 hours
- Games: 2–4 hours depending on schedule
Requirements (Must-Haves):
- College-level baseball playing experience (minimum)
- Live within 20 minutes of Poway, CA - 20 minutes of Poway, CA
- Ability to throw batting practice
- Ability to hit fly balls and ground balls
- Physically able to perform on-field coaching duties multiple times per week
- Pass a background check prior to working with players
- Submit a summary of baseball playing and coaching experience with application

Qualifications
- Prior experience in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or working with children in a sports or recreational setting
- Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, and strategies
- Experience working with students or children in a childcare or educational environment
- Skills in behavior management and creating an inclusive, motivating atmosphere
- Background in related areas such as lifeguard experience, karate, swimming, martial arts, cheerleading, climbing, judo, or health club management is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with young athletes, parents, and staff
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Certification or experience in sports coaching or child development is preferred but not required
