Who Are We?

Subsite Electronics, located in Mt. Sterling, KY is a division of The Toro Company. Subsite Electronics provides underground construction professionals the most comprehensive suite of electronic products in the industry, including Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) guidance equipment, utility locators, utility inspection systems, and equipment machine controls.

This employee performs a variety of jobs in the Subsite Electronics repair area. Primarily, the employee tests, troubleshoots and repairs products that are sent in for repair. This includes diagnosis, parts sourcing, estimate creation, repair documentation, and various other processes and interactions with Engineers, Product Support, and manufacturing.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company - Subsite Division, you will be responsible:

  • For analyzing and applying information from a variety of sources, including Engineers, Operators, Dealers, BOM's, Repair History, Schematics, Engineering Change Orders and Quality Reports.
  • Using electronics tools (pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, cutters, soldering irons, etc.) to build/repair a variety of electronic devices.
  • Using electronic equipment (oscilloscope, volt ohm meters, frequency counters, etc.) to troubleshoot, analyze electronic circuits and correct problems.
  • Disassembling, repairing, and assembling Electronics Products.
  • Establishing cost estimates that may include purchased components, manufactured parts and assemblies and labor time requirements.
  • Helping write test and repair procedures.
  • Meeting or exceeding typical expectations for creativity, productivity, quality of work, and safety.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Have an associate degree in Electronic Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, OR equivalent formal education beyond high school; OR equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in an electrical or mechanical industry is strongly preferred.
  • This role involves independently moving 50-70 lb. equipment, and frequently repositioning these electronic items throughout working on the repair each day.
  • Have a good work record of self-motivation, judgment, and productivity. Have effective communication skills, and work well with others.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and related engineering information. Have appropriate experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and fixtures.
  • Be willing to work overtime or extra hours as needed.

Shift: 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Starting Pay: $22-23/hour, Depending on Experience
