The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our growing tax team. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their technical skills, gain broad exposure to different tax types, and build a strong foundation for a long-term career in taxation. You'll work closely with experienced tax professionals, contribute to client engagements, and play an important role in delivering timely and accurate tax services in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist in preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates
• Communicate with clients to gather tax data, provide updates, and support timely responses to inquiries
• Organize, archive, and maintain client documents and support schedules on the company shared drive
• Conduct tax research and assist in analyzing tax legislation, regulations, and rulings
• Prepare financial data, workpapers, and schedules to support tax return preparation
• Assist with special projects, tax notices, audits, and planning engagements
• Document critical client information and ensure all work is accurate, compliant, and completed before deadlines
• Stay up to date on changes in tax laws and incorporate updates into workflow and client service

What We're Looking For

• Experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department
• Exposure to specialized tax areas such as SALT, corporate tax, partnership taxation, or trusts & estates
• Understanding of accounting systems and book-to-tax adjustments
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
• Clear and professional communication skills
