Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to oversee daily retail operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team toward achieving sales and operational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven track record in retail management. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing inventory, supervising staff, and maintaining a positive shopping environment to drive business growth.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation
  • Oversee POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering operations ensuring accuracy and security
  • Conduct employee orientation, training & development programs to enhance team skills
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Manage purchasing activities and vendor relationships for inventory procurement
  • Execute marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and increase foot traffic
  • Monitor store financials including budgeting, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
  • Utilize management tools for scheduling shifts, tracking sales data, and reporting performance metrics

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, pricing strategies, and inventory management software
  • Experience in employee recruitment, interviewing, payroll processing, and bookkeeping
  • Demonstrated ability in sales management, merchandising, stock management, and marketing strategies
  • Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques including cashiering, customer service excellence, and phone etiquette
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain organizational records
  • Experience with budgeting, purchasing decisions, inventory control, and store operations management
  • Previous assistant manager or managerial experience preferred; supervisory experience essential
