Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Estimator
with a minimum of five years of experience in the glass and glazing industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive project experience across a range of glazing systems and applications, producing accurate, competitive bids that align with client expectations and company capabilities. This is an on-site role in Orlando, FL, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial glass and glazing projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and addenda to determine scope and requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure estimates align with operational capabilities.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and client presentations as required.
• Maintain and update historical cost data to improve future estimating accuracy.
• Ensure bids are submitted on time with complete and accurate documentation.

Required Project Experience

• Curtain wall systems (unitized and stick-built)
• Storefront and entrance systems
• Commercial window and door systems
• Structural and decorative glass applications
• Skylights and architectural glazing features
• Impact-resistant and energy-efficient glazing solutions
• Aluminum framing systems, panels, and cladding
• Experience with commercial project types including hospitality, healthcare, education, government, K–12 schools, and corporate office buildings

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in the glass and glazing industry
• Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems, fabrication, and installation methods
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
