Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of clients within a business unit at TRIS. This role oversees accounting functions, staff, and client portfolios, ensuring compliance with GAAP and timely delivery of services, including revenue recognition, cash management, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting. Operating in a flexible yet deadline-driven environment, the Accounting Manager takes ownership of tasks, upholds our core values, and mentors staff in accounting expertise, client engagement, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the accurate and timely delivery of client accounting functions, including billing, financial statements, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, and revenue recognition.
• Oversee the preparation of preliminary and final financial reports, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, ensuring accuracy for Controller review.
• Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships, addressing inquiries, and providing proactive financial guidance to support client decision-making.
• Collaborate with client owners, CFOs, and internal stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, under the guidance of the firm's business unit Controller.
• Support compliance with local, state, and federal financial laws, maintain orderly accounting records, and assist with audit preparations and ERP management.

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of experience as an accounting supervisor or senior accountant
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in managing general accounting for multi-location businesses, preferably within the F&B hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, budgeting, and financial processes.
• Experience with financial software and Microsoft 365.
• Restaurant 365 experience is a MUST.
• Experience in the restaurant industry is a must
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. CPA/CMA is a plus.
