that is rapidly growing its commercial surety capability and is seeking a skilled
Surety Underwriter
to support portfolio growth and broker engagement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Underwrite surety accounts in line with defined appetite and authority
• Evaluate financials, credit quality, and risk profiles across a diverse surety portfolio
• Manage and grow a book of commercial surety business profitably
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with wholesale and retail brokers
• Support new business development while maintaining underwriting discipline
• Collaborate with senior underwriters and leadership on portfolio strategy and appetite
• Contribute to the evolution of underwriting guidelines and best practices as the platform scales

About You

• 3+ years of experience underwriting
  surety
  within a carrier, MGA, or specialty platform
• Solid understanding of credit analysis, financial statements, and risk evaluation
• Ability to manage a book of business with a focus on sustainable, profitable growth
• Strong communication skills with a credible, market-facing presence
• Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a growing, fast-moving environment
