Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver with a valid CDL to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a semi and grain trailer. This role involves delivering freight efficiently across designated routes while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Candidates should possess strong driving skills, good communication, and a flexible weekend schedule during harvest.

Duties

• Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across assigned routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Follow route schedules and navigate efficiently using GPS or maps.
• Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the route.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle malfunctions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state transportation laws and safety regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL license.
• Experience operating different truck configurations such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling and route driving is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with manual transmission trucks is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety procedures related to trucking operations and cargo securement.
