Cleaning Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced, hard working people to clean and attend to needs in a school setting. This is a full time year round position. The right candidate will be customer service oriented and very dependable, with no missed work days. The job requires flexibility, the willingness to change course and quickly attend to spills or requests as they come in. A good, helpful attitude goes a long way

Responsibilities (not limited to these items)

• Clean up after breakfast and lunches.
• Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas, such as locker rooms, gymnasiums, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sweep and mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Clean and disinfect rest rooms.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap as needed.
• Keep supply closet and cart organized and stocked with necessary items.
• Communicate with supervisor appropriately as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing cleaning.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated time frames.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, reaching, walking stairs and standing for extended periods.
• Valid drivers license and dependable transportation.
• Background check authorization is required.
