Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Service Supervisor to support maintenance operations at a large, established multifamily community in Los Angeles, CA. This role is designed for skilled maintenance professionals who are ready to step into leadership and grow their career in property operations.
This position blends hands-on maintenance work with exposure to supervisory responsibilities, preventative maintenance planning, vendor coordination, and team support. It is an ideal next step for a maintenance technician looking to expand beyond work orders into long-term leadership.
Schedule & Shift- M-S, Variable schedule based on property needs
- Includes weekends and on-call rotation
- On-Site, Full-Time
- Prepare vacant units for move-in, including painting, repairs, and finish work
- Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform maintenance work across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, pool care, and appliances
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-kept grounds, amenities, and common areas
- Support daily coordination of maintenance team activities
- Assist with vendor coordination, inventory tracking, and supply management
- Participate in scheduling and tracking preventative maintenance programs
- Identify, document, and report larger repair needs with budget awareness
- Participate in emergency and after-hours on-call rotation
- Deliver high-quality customer service to residents
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, housing regulations, and company policies
- Represent the property with professionalism and pride
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2+ years of maintenance or service technician experience (multifamily preferred)
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade/Technical/Vocational education
- EPA 608 Certification required (minimum Type II)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- CPO Certification (if required locally)
- Ability to commute to the Downtown Los Angeles area
