POSITION TYPE: Full-time
PAY RANGE: $22 -$30 hourly depending on experience
POSITION SUMMARY:
The DeNooyer Automotive Family is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a full-time position to support our staff.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have strong technical knowledge of Windows 10/11 as well as iOS devices as well as other general office hardware (printers, scanners, networking equipment)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products preferred
- Ability to read, speak and write English in order to fulfill job functions in an understandable way
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective organizational skills and time management
- Willingness to learn new technologies as needed
- Operate effectively under minimal supervision
- High school diploma
- High level of optimism, positivity, and professionalism
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to all end user computer and peripheral equipment on domain
- Provide technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related software/hardware
- Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when related to personal desktop computers
- Deliver technical customer support over the phone or at desk side
- Identify, evaluate and solve end-user workstation problems; support and train end-users in a wide range of software applications as needed; read, understand and apply complex technical information; master new computer technology; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population
- Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner to end user
- Participate in new application and hardware rollouts, testing and special projects as needed
- Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature. Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and customers
- Assist with data entry, data cleanup, and data validation in dealership systems (e.g., CRM, DMS, inventory systems).
- Support the IT Director in maintaining data accuracy and consistency across platforms.
- Help manage user access, permissions, and security policies for data‑driven applications.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must maintain a professional image and positively represent DeNooyer Automotive
- Relate positively with diverse groups of people (customers and staff)
- All other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to sit at a computer in an office setting for several hours at a time
- Ability to move within different departments at the dealership
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
