Swim Instructor/Lifeguard

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in swimming and physical education, with the ability to teach various swimming techniques to individuals of all ages and skill levels. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in swimming techniques, safety practices, and water confidence.
• Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to the needs and abilities of each student.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
• Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized teaching environment, including equipment used during lessons.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student performance and progress.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Strong swimming skills with experience in teaching swim lessons preferred.
• Background in physical education, childcare, or related fields is advantageous.
• Ability to climb and navigate various environments within the facility (e.g., poolside).
• Experience in teaching or coaching sports like basketball is beneficial.
• Certification in lifeguarding or first aid/CPR is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
• A positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching are essential.
