Laboratory Associates Coordinator

Are you looking for a career as a Lab Associate -Phlebotomist? Look no further than BJC This position is in Phlebotomy . Join our Phlebotomy Laboratory team to be an integral part of delivering precise and reliable laboratory results that impact patient outcomes positively.

• Hours - 12:00 - 8:30pm
• Schedule - Monday - Friday; On-Call Every Other Weekend and Rotating Holidays
• Duties: Phlebotomy, training new phlebotomist, central receiving duties, floating to help out where needed. Ensuring all safety protocols are performed by phlebotomy.

Role Purpose

Responsible for the oversite of all technical functions for Specimen Collection and Processing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises laboratory activities to ensure that procedures are performed promptly, accurately, and precisely according to department and hospital policies and procedures.
• May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Ensures Compliance with the Regulatory Guidelines.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience

• < 2 years

Preferred Requirements

Education

• Associate's Degree

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy
