Part Time Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician for two apartment communities within the South Milwaukee & St Francis areas. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and cleaning to ensure that our facilities are both tidy and functional. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge.

Compensation: Based upon experience.

Start Date: Immediately

Duties to Include:

• Maintenance of buildings & units
• Light painting, landscaping, carpentry and turnover of units when tenants vacate
• Minor plumbing & electrical repairs
• Snow removal
• Maintaining records of any work and inspections done on-premises
• Performing inventory on repair supplies
• Keeping repair tools and supplies clean and organized
• Setting up repair appointments
• Ensuring all safety systems are functioning properly, including smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
• Conducting routine maintenance on equipment and building systems
• Completing safety checks on systems and equipment
• Doing pest control
• Performing general maintenance tasks for the buildings, such as window washing, drywall repair, plastering, carpentry, flooring repair, painting and more
• Detecting, identifying and repairing building issues, like basic problems with the building's electrical, plumbing, Boiler and HVAC systems
• Responding to and completing tenant or supervisor maintenance requests.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications: Successful candidates should have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical required. Experience in apartment maintenance preferred, but not required. Must have excellent customer service skills, be a team player, ability to work independently, self-motivator and have their own tools.
